So you’ve talked about clean eating and you’ve thought about doing it, but something stops you from moving forward.

Myth 1: I don’t have time to fit clean eating into my lifestyle.

What would you think if you were told that with 15 minutes extra a day you could easily get your act together to change your lifestyle over to clean eating?

You’re going to need one weekend to take every single thing out of your refrigerator and pantry. Once you’ve determined whether something fits into your new regimen or not, you’ll be getting rid of a lot of things that you were hoarding before couchtuner.

You’ll be grilling or baking your meats for the most part and with vegetables you can steam, sauté them in a healthy oil, such as olive oil, or bake them. And, of course, you can eat almost as many raw vegetables and fruits as you want.

Myth 3: I won’t be able to start until Monday or until after the holidays are over or until after vacation or until hell freezes over.

Be honest with yourself. Can you make a commitment to a healthy lifestyle or not?

This change in your daily routine doesn’t involve counting calories or drinking cabbage juice or giving yourself enemas. It’s simply selecting and preparing from a list of foods that are healthy and will make you feel energetic and vital.

Remember if you eat better now you might not have to worry about hell for quite some time.

Myth 4: I’m a lost cause.

Every success story in life was preceded by at least one failure and usually many more.

Just because you’ve failed to change your life in the past doesn’t mean that you can’t do it now. The key factors are starting and sticking with it for at least 30 days straight. If you can do that, you’ll be motivated because you’ll lose weight and after a week of getting the processed foods out of your system, your energy will skyrocket.

Myth 5: My family is going to hate clean eating.

Let me tell you a little secret. Are you the food preparer in your house?

If you are, you have absolute power. Whatever you fix they’ll eat, because they don’t want to fix it themselves! But that’s only one reason that your family will go along with clean eating. After they do it for about a month, they’re going to feel completely different.

Your money will go farther at the grocery store and you’ll be eating so much healthier.

Myth 7: Clean eating is just another fad diet.

Clean eating is not a fad at all.

Fad diets depend on a repetition of foods you don’t eat that often. For example, remember the grapefruit diet?

How many times in life have you eaten a grapefruit? How long could you sustain a diet where you were eating grapefruit three times a day?

Clean eating doesn’t have a difficult set of rules or strange foods. This lifestyle change is based on foods that are healthy and unprocessed.

Fruits, vegetables, seafood, and poultry are the basic elements of this diet, but there are millions of combinations of these foods. It doesn’t get boring if you make a little effort to find great recipes.
